Lara Fanchin
She was born in Bologna, where she began her first dance studies at the age of 4 at the Isadora Dance Center. As a dancer, she graduated from the Russian Ballet Society and later trained in Modena at the professional APAD course. She also studied in Rome at the National Academy of Dance, learning from teachers and principal dancers from the Rome Opera, La Scala in Milan, Kirov Ballet, Bejart Ballet, and in Paris at the Studio Harmonic.
Since 2006, she has been dedicated to the pedagogy of Classical Dance, specializing in the Vaganova method with Merith Bech (Member of the International Vaganova Method Society). She has attended teacher training courses at the Rome Opera and seminars on pointework and advanced techniques at La Scala in Milan. Since 2018, she has focused on choreography and formed the collective “Blu trein,” debuting her first production, “Where There Is No Darkness.” She currently collaborates with various schools for the professional training of young dancers, with a mission to inspire the new generations to the art of Dance, which is as noble as it is complex.
