Carlos Kamizele

Carlos Kamizele, a dancer and choreographer of Congolese origin, resides in Italy where he develops his expertise in the world of urban dance and performance. He establishes his image with strength, showcasing talent by winning hip-hop contests and battles, representing Italy at international championships. He is the winner of Juste Debout Italila in 2007, 2008, and 2020, representing Italy in the world finals in Paris. He also clinches victory at DANCE@LIVE in Singapore, placing Italy on the podium ahead of other participating countries. Kamizele represents Italy at Funky in Styles in Germany three times consecutively and is a six-time winner of GIVE UP, one of the most significant street events in Italy.

His life experiences led him to develop a unique and inimitable performance style, incorporating Afro influences into his hip-hop culture. This blend makes his expression more profound, allowing for a broader narrative within his dance.

It’s a journey through the study of isolations, breakdowns, rhythm, attitude, musicality, energy management, and, above all, the ability to use all of this in the context of freestyle (improvisation). The goal is to discover your own identity and talents in order to be unique and inimitable.
