Julia Weiss

Julia Weiss, is a french ballet dancer and teacher with an international career over two decades. She received her ballet training at the Ecole de l’Opéra National de Paris, and after graduating, she joined the Ballet de l’Opéra National de Paris in 2003 – 2004.

She pursued her career at the Ballet de L’Opéra National du Rhin where she danced from 2004 to 2009. She decided to continue her career as a soloist in Germany where she danced from 2009 to 2011 in the Staatstheater Mainz.

In order to deepen her artisic knowledge, she joined and danced as a soloist in the following companies: the Semperoper Dresden between 2011 – 2016, the Deutsche Oper Berlin between 2016- 2017, the Ballet de L’Opera de Lyon 2017-2019, and the Ballet De L’Opera National Du Rhin where she is currently working since 2019.

During this time she as danced for 16 years as a soloist on very diverse classical, neoclassical and contemporary repertoire, as G.Balanchine, T.Brown, M.Cunningham, M.Béjart, A.Preljocaj, and worked directly with W.Forsythe, M.Ek, O.Naharin, N.Duato, Peeping Tom, C.Carlson, D.Ekman, J.Inger. She also participate on several creations with D.Dawson, J.Godani, A.Ratmansky, S.Celis, G.Harush.

Willing to always explore more, she choreographed «Zwischen//Herztönnen» in 2021 for the Ballet du Rhin.
